Summer Programs

Please note that for safety reasons all Summer training programs will require you to have and bring running hydration with you. 

Summer 5K Training Program: 

Are you considering tackling your first 5K?  Our award-winning 5K Training Program is designed to help runners of all levels reach their goals and make new personal records.  The program is tailored for each athlete depending on their experience, fitness, and speed to help everyone meet their personal athletic goals. These programs are great for athletes who have never been coached before or are trying to hit a 5k personal record. Our coaches are trained to tailor the experience for all athletes and help everyone start their journey to running success. 

The program is structured to help you cross the finish line in just 8 weeks!  Along the way we’ll provide you with motivation to keep you moving, guidance and advice, weekly group training runs or walks, and educational clinics on topics such as proper nutrition, choosing the right gear, and avoiding injury. Plus, you’ll have the camaraderie of others just like you!  The 5K and 10K training programs run and train concurrently, but differ with their distance for each workout.

Summer 10K Training Program:


Want to up your distance?  Our amazing 10K Training Program is designed to help runners of all levels start their distance journey and meet their goals.  The program is tailored for each athlete depending on their experience, fitness, and speed to help everyone meet their personal athletic goals. The program is structured to help you cross the finish line in just 8 weeks!  The 10K training programs is 8 weeks long with 2 coached workouts per week. 

This is perfect for anyone that is comfortable running the 5K distance and wants to add a little more, but isn't yet ready for a half marathon.  We start with 3 miles and work our way up to and past 6 miles.  Coached workouts are designed to push you and make you stronger with hill work and pace runs as well as long easy runs.  Along the way we’ll provide you with motivation to keep you moving, guidance and advice, weekly group training runs or walks, and educational clinics on topics such as proper nutrition, choosing the right gear, and avoiding injury.  The 5K and 10K training programs run and train concurrently, but differ with their distance for each workout.

Summer Half Marathon Training Program:


Join the tens of thousands of people who challenge themselves every year to the fastest growing distance race in the country – the half marathon. This terrific 13.1 mile distance is challenging and yet achievable. Our programs target runners, run/walkers and walkers. We have an exceptional coaching staff to lead you in your training. Pace groups, speed work, and specific training plans will enable anyone who can currently run 5 miles to finish their first half marathon or improve over previous performances.

Whether you are a seasoned half marathoner or a first timer with the goal to finish, our half marathon program is designed to challenge, encourage, and to help you have a healthy training experience as you build up mileage and speed in preparation for the 13.1 Mile Race. Fleet Feet Sports Half Marathoners are broken into various pace groups based on running background as well as goals. These pace groups are designed to help you train in a safe and effective manner as you build up your base mileage.

Tuesday nights you will be challenged with a combination of hill work, form drills and speed workouts. Designed to help you run faster and more efficiently, you will be amazed with your improved overall fitness from these challenging and fun sessions. 

Saturday's distance runs will be done at a slower pace to increase the amount of time on your feet and to encourage quick recovery. Saturday long runs will be crucial to your success in the race as they help you to build up cardiovascular, muscular, and skeletal strength for the endurance to finish the entire event.

Summer Full Marathon Training Program:

Whether you are a seasoned distance runner or a first timer with the goal to finish, our full marathon program is designed to challenge, encourage, and to help you have a healthy training experience as you build up mileage and speed in preparation for the 26.2 Mile Race. Fleet Feet Sports full marathoners will be broken into various pace groups based on running background as well as goals. We have an exceptional coaching staff to lead you in your training and create specific training plans to enable you to get the most out of your experience.

Summer Rock Runners Trail Run Training Program:

If you've thought about trail running, but don't know how to start...this is the way to do it!  Trail running requires a different gait than road running...and the best way to learn is by practicing on trails.  We'll coach on you the best trail running form and provide group training runs to give you the experience you need to practice running over roots and rocks.  It can be dirty....but it is tons of fun! Come hit the trails with the Fleet Feet Running Club!  We want to introduce you to the joy of Trail Running! This great sport will get you running and more out in nature than you would even thought.  Be sure to stop by the store to check out the latest gear and greatest shoes for this running adventure!
