Full 2019 Training Calendar


Fall Bridge Program: 

This training program is specifically designed to bridge the game between the fall and winter programs.  Whether your goal is to get in shape, get faster, or bridge the gap between seasons; THIS IS THE PLAN FOR YOU!  We meet twice a week - Mondays and Thursdays at Fleet Feet.  Our workouts are designed to build running strength and develop muscle endurance.  Coaches will guide you through weekly workouts that focus on speed and efficiency using interval training on the track and on hills.    

This program comes with two group workouts per week and a weekly training schedule to help maintain fitness and endurance between seasons.  The group workouts will end on December 20th, but the provided training plan will extend until January 7th.

Fall Full Marathon Training Program:

Whether you are a seasoned distance runner or a first timer with the goal to finish, our full marathon program is designed to challenge, encourage, and to help you have a healthy training experience as you build up mileage and speed in preparation for the 26.2 Mile Race. Fleet Feet Sports full marathoners will be broken into various pace groups based on running background as well as goals. These pace groups are designed to help you train in a safe and effective manner as you build up your base mileage. The program is designed for runners and run/walkers who can currently run 5 miles. We have an exceptional coaching staff to lead you in your training and create specific training plans to enable you to get the most out of your experience.


Tuesday nights you will be challenged with a combination of hill work, form drills and speed workouts. Designed to help you run faster and more efficiently, you will be amazed with your improved overall fitness from these challenging and fun sessions. Saturday runs are for distance and will be done at a slower pace to increase the amount of time on your spent on your feet and to encourage a quick recovery. Saturday long runs will be crucial to your success in the race as they help you to build up cardiovascular, muscular, and skeletal strength for the endurance to finish the event.

Winter Warriors

This 8 week training program is designed to help you maintain your fitness and endurance between seasons.  Whether your goal is to get in shape, get faster, or workout enough to enjoy those winter holiday meals; THIS IS THE PLAN FOR YOU!  Our workouts are designed to build running strength and develop muscle endurance.  Coaches will guide you through weekly workouts that focus on speed and efficiency using interval training on the track and on hills.  We meet twice a week - Mondays at Youngs Physical Therapy and Thursdays at Fleet Feet. 


Monday nights you will meet at Young's Physical Therapy (1301 E. Arlington Blvd, Greenville, NC 27858) and be challenged to build strength with cross training workouts specifically designed to build running muscle. Designed to help you maintain your fitness and build muscular endurance, you will be amazed with your improved overall fitness from these challenging and fun sessions. 

Thursday nights we will meet at Fleet Feet (709 Greenville Blvd. SE Suite 104, Greenville, NC 27858) and focus on running form and running endurance. Our Thursday workouts are designed with a combination of hill work, form drills, and speed workouts to help you run faster and with more efficiency.

Winter Half Marathon Training Program:


Join the tens of thousands of people who challenge themselves every year to the fastest growing distance race in the country – the half marathon. This terrific 13.1 mile distance is challenging and yet achievable. Our programs target runners, run/walkers and walkers. We have an exceptional coaching staff to lead you in your training. Pace groups, speed work, and specific training plans will enable anyone who can currently run 5 miles to finish their first half marathon or improve over previous performances.

Winter 10K Training Program:

This training program is a FLEET FEET special, training people for the Cooper River Bridge Run in South Carolina.  This awesome race draws out thousands of people and we have a special program just to train for this race! This is an 8 week training session with 2 coached workouts per week.  This is perfect for anyone that is comfortable running the 5K distance and wants to add a little more, but isn't yet ready for a half marathon.  What a great and memorable race to start your long distance running career!  We start with 3 miles and work our way up to and past 6 miles.  Coached workouts are designed to push you and make you stronger with hill work and faster pace runs as well as longer easy runs. 

This program is a FLEET FEET only program and has added value provided by the FLEET FEET brand along with the training program.  Perks include: Race entry fee, Fleet Feet runner corral for all Fleet Feet stores (one big happy family!), special Fleet Feet only bag drop,  special Fleet Feet finish area sponsored by Mizuno in Marion Square, and more special Mizuno brand perks! Winter Walk To A Mile: 

Ready to take the first step in your fitness journey? Whether you are looking to get off the couch or find accountability with a group, our Coaches and Mentors will help you cross the finish line of your first race. This beginner running program is designed for those who are first time runners, and those with limited mobility or injury looking for something to keep active. These programs are supportive of both beginner runners and walkers.
